XRC now on live! and me raving

    Monday, March 17, 2008, 07:44 PM [General]

As Wayne already put up a blog (dam it he beats me to it lol), XRC.co.nz is finally on live!!

Sorry about the delay caused... I had a couple days off on the farm (yes I am full time dairy farmer) so I could finish off the website. Then I caught flu and spent those precious 2 days in bed.... and I haven't had any time off till today so all the delay. I have been working on the website till 4am sometimes but doesn't seem to have enough time....

Actually, it is still unfinised, lots more new products to go up and special to go up as well. So please keep an eye out. I also highly recommend to sign up for an account or at least sign up for news letters as we will giving out specail deals for those who sign up.

Last night was bloody nightmare... We had power cut around 7pm ish (I work on the computer usually from 8pm-1am), power didn't come back till 10pm ish and what happened.... I fell a sleep and didn't get up till this morning. Dam it.

And, aparently power will go off again from 8pm-10pm (here is my precious time gone again... Oh well I suppose I should mow the lawn....).

My chief admin for Ecom Trading Ltd. (it happens to be my wife Sunneva)... is out of action now days as she is busy looking after our new born son. New stock keep coming from our supplier. Lots of new orders to place. End of financial year this month (Tax and GST to be paid).... and life goes on.

Any how, our mission is to bring RC hobby to main stream so I guess fair way to go yet.

Any how, enough raving and excuses from me. Sorry for not answering your emails and PMs promptly now days. I will get on to it.

So go to XRC.co.nz now and sign up for news letters or create an account!!!!!

    Cheers

New Scoope!? TT-01 Type E etc

Friday, February 8, 2008, 08:33 PM [New Product Info.]

    Hi there RCmate members.

It is about a time for me to put up a blog. Since we have shifted house, I have gone off computers as we only have dial up connection!! Fastest speed we had so far is 28kb.. Whoopty dooo.

Some of you may already know but Tamiya is releasing Rock Clawler CR-01 Chassis, Toyota Land Cruiser 40. Looks pretty mean!! Here is the link. http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=58405

Also, Tamiya will be releasing TT-01 Type E this year. This will replace long loved Tamiya TT-01 which has been on the market for 6 years!!!

    Some changes include:

    * Tamiya PRF Upper Deck. Even though it is only PRF it comes as part of the standard kit, which is a plus. This will enhance solid ptiching direction and direct feeling of acceleration.

    * Due to the addition of uppder deck above, steering arm has been modified. Steering wiper is fixed from upper, hence smooth steering.

    * Damper stay has been modified. Thicker and has more setting options.

    * Front knuckle and Rear Upright has been modified. (stronger design compare to TT-01)

    * Motor Gear Cover has been modified. This will enhance rigidity of motor.

    * Battery bar has been modified (similar to TA-05). Cool Tamiya Logo on it!

Over all, Tamiya is aiming to create more user friendly / maintenance free TT-01 type E chassis by updating the TT-01 pitfall.

First TT-01 Type E body comes with Nissan FairladyZ Version Nismo. As usual, very detailed body and comes with LED lights.

Tamiya Japan has not confirmed the price nor release date. But we are assuming that it will be same price as TT-01 kits (with LED lights). Date??? May be in few months.... What I know is that it will be released in 2008!!! Its a pity I cant show you a photo of it.

Yokomo will be releasing "Rock Crawler" in March. Its around 1/15 scale (350mm length, 240mm width, wheel base 246mm). Front and Rear Rigid Axel, front and rear independent gear box, looking pretty flash with lots of metal bling. Gear Ratio is 30:1, very torqueful setting and using 280 class motor powered by Mini 1400Nimh battery. Price is not confrimed yet but approx price in NZ would be $300ish and we should have them in stock late March or April.

We are finalising the new online shop at the moment. Getting there slowly (with dial up....) but surely and we are fully stocked with new products etc etc to go on the online shop. Currently customising shipping options..... to make sure our customers will get best deals!! Please be paitent for a little while.

Some of you may be having racing weekend with Nationals and Stockcar racing in Palmerston North. Best of luck to Team Kameyama Racing!! Have a good weekend.

    Telecom Unbundling (year right)

    Tuesday, January 15, 2008, 07:32 PM [General]

Hiya RCmate members. Hope everything is going well for you guys and gals.

Just a quick note to tell you there may be delay in replying to your emails and PMs as we are currently shifting the house and office.... and unfortunately we cannot get bloody broadband at our new house / office!! Telecom unbundling (yeah right). Any how, we will be organising satelight broadband through Farm / Fontera so we can be connected again.

Mean while, we will try to be connected as much as we can from other house but there may be slight delay in replying to your emails.

There will be no delay for sending the products so no worrys there.

    Thanks

    Kind regards

    Jun & Sunneva
