    Banzai Hobby -> Japanese Super Hobby Online Shop

    Thursday, April 30, 2009, 12:38 PM [General]

    Hi there RCmates.

    We are pleased to introduce a new sponsor for RCmate.org.

    Banzai Hobby (Japanese Super Hobby Online Shop)

    www.Banzaihobby.com

    I have to say they have amazing stock (99% of Tamiya products) and I was impressed. But they have informed me that they should have 10 times more products online shortly, including hard to source RC parts outside of Japan.

    Pricing is currently average I thought..... But once again, they are currently adjusting the price.... and they are hoping to give further discounts on most of their products.

    They have not yet advertised the site anywhere and you guys will be one of the first to see the site!! and they have also gave us discount coupon (further 10% discount!!!) for RCmate / XRC members which I will send you guys individually by pm.

    Furthermore, Banzai Hobby will provide us with all the hot goss (new release products etc.) in RC and Hobby world. So I am hoping to put more effort and time into RCmate.org as well!! Well they are now official RCmate sponsor, so I have to do their promotion.....

    And do not forget, if you are looking for faster service!! go to www.xrc.co.nz!! We do not have impressive stock like Banzai Hobby, but I am pretty confident, we can deliver products faster than them and some products are actually cheaper!!!!

    Please make sure check Banzai Hobby shipping and return section as they have informed me that they are closed next week due to public holiday in Japan.....

    Anyhow, happy browsing.

    Shizuoka Hobby Show 2008 Photos

    Friday, May 16, 2008, 04:31 AM [General]

    Hiya RCmate members. Here are some photos from Shizuoka Hobby Show 08.

    Highlight for the hobby show for me was Brushless system!!! Finally Japanese companies are releasing good quality yet very affordable Brushless System!! Sanwa, Team Orion Japan, Yokomo (expensive side) to name a few. Sanwa Brushless System will be starting from approx NZ$250 for Brushless ESC and Brushless Motor.

    Tamiya will be releasing DF-03 MS and TA-05IFS R shortly. These are seriously good value!! As an example, if you purchase TA-05IFS Hop-Up  parts alone and if you pay RRP in NZ for them, probably it will cost you NZ$600-$700!!  I personally like DF-03 MS Body. DF-03MS also comes with loads for hop-up parts and they are really good for money.

    Tamiya TB-03 Chassis was getting lots of attention. TB-03 is using inboard suspension like TA-05 IFS. (Inboard suspension will allow lower center of gravity). Some new features include, Air Duct (to cool down the motor), Short Reverse Suspension (inc 1150 bearings) and TRF416 Uprights, Newly designed Rear Gear Cover and Motor Adaptor. I think Tamiya is planning to release TB-03D soonish as well???

    Oh and Tamiya Land Cruiser 40 (CR-01) will be back in stock, as well as TT-01 Type E!! Keep an eye out on www.xrc.co.nz or Kameyama on Tradme!!!

    Kyosho will be releasing MFR 1/10 4WD Monster Truck RTR.  Actually it doesn't really look like 1/10th!! These are tough monster machines.

    * GXR18 Engine
    * 2 SPD
    * Reverse
    * Touch Starter
    * Big Bore Suspenion

    MFR will be a good basher thats for sure!!

    Kyosho TF-5 RTR Dodge Stratos Color Type2 will be a good value onroad touring car. It comes with newly designed KA-15 ESC.

    HPI E Firestorm 10T Flux is fast offroad RTR kit using Brushless ESC and Motor!! They are competitively priced and being 2WD makes it one of the fast and tough offroad electric truggy available on the market.

    HPI Prod-D is a serious Drift Machine.Comes with all the whistle and bells and chassis is purely designed for drifting use. As you expected from high end RC car, it comes with high end price tag...

    It will be interesting to see HPI Nitro Wheely King in action too!!

    Please check out more photos at http://webmaster.rcmate.org/gallery/view_gallery.one?gal_id=319248

    There are loads of more photos and product info available (such as new OS Engine Plugs!) but will update next couple of days.

    Are you interested in purchasing the products??? As soon as we have them in stock, we will be putting them on www.xrc.co.nz!! So please check out the site and make sure you sign up with our news letter so you won't miss out on the new products!!

    and I must appologise for the delay of emailing for those customers who have emailed me. But as you may guessed I am pretty full on at the moment!! I will get back to you within couple of days... There sould be no delay in reciving the products as Sunneva and the team is working hard!!!

    Anyow, must stop raving.

    Have a good one wherever you may be.

    Kind regards

    Jun

    Merry Christmas Jun and your family, yea I'm still drifting but scored a nitro offroader(mainly to bash at work as I can't smoke in the factory lol).

    How are things going? what with this "ressession" and all looming over our heads.
